UKFT, Britain's Fashion and Textile Association, has launched an initiative to promote British manufacturing with a showcase in Westminster at the Department for Business Innovation and Skills in central London. The showcase focussing on

fashion and textiles with products and imagery to create an installation which includes textiles, men’s tailoring, footwear and manufacturing maps.

UKFT
members including Johnstons of Elgin and Peregrine helped add to the installation along with contributions from the British Footwear Association (BFA), Designer-Manufacturer Innovation Support Centre (DISC) and the British Fashion Council (BFC).

With British manufactured fashion more in demand than ever, the exhibition celebrates all about the UK’s fashion and textile industry.

“This is a fantastic way for us to proudly show off what our industry can do right in the heart of London where tourists and government will be passing every day,” said UKFT chief executive John Miln.

“We are hugely thankful to our federated members and the BFA, BFC and DISC for helping us bring this fantastic installation together. Fashion often works best when in collaboration and this project is really testament to that.
