& Other Stories x Lykke Li

H&M's sister company, & Other Stories is to collaborate with Swedish singer Lykke Li for a fall '14 collection. The line is said to offer a monochromatic palette of ready-to-wear items, bags, shoes, jewelery as well as accessories.

"I'm a nomad and travelled my whole life, so my style choices have grown out of pure necessity," said Li to Vogue. "It's been a dream of mine to have the perfect leather sack filled with the bare essentials, like a true nomad ready for business, and & Other Stories gave me that chance. This collection is my version of that lifesaving sack and will be my uniform until the day I die."

The idea to launch a collaborative collection came about when the singer was touring, and met with friends who designed for the lifestyle retailer to swap ideas. "Lykke and I talked about creating something together for quite a while, but it wasn't until now that we were both able to make it happen," revealed & Other Stories ready-to-wear designer Behnaz Aram.

"Her ideas really inspire me. We share the same aesthetics and love for classics and quality which shows in this collection. All the pieces are versatile, keeping the nomad perspective at heart. They can easily be dressed up or down depending on what you feel like," concluded Aram.
