British fashion label Barbour has teamed up with car maker Land Rover to launch a new clothing line known as 'Barbour for Land Rover' for Fall/Winter 2014. It is the first time that the two companies have officially collaborated together on a collection.

The debut clothing line will offer men's and women's wear that is said to incorporate both brands design and style aesthetics. The line showcases two different looks, one which is inspired by the British countryside and the other by the modern edges of the urban lifestyle. The lifestyle collection will feature a number of jackets, quilts, gilts as well as a range of wax and wool knits, accessories and luggage pieces.

Prices are set to range from 249 pounds for a quilted jacket with a Land Rover tartan lining to 399 pounds for a waxed, cotton jacket. The two companies are said to be busy designing a second collection for spring, according to WWD.

Steve Buck, managing director at Barbour commented: "There is a strong synergy between Barbour and Land Rover - we are both established British brands with years of heritage, renowned for our understated style and synonymous with the British countryside...the new Barbour Land Rover clothing range is fit for purpose, luxurious and stylish and we are delighted and proud to be working in partnership with Land Rover."

Robin Colgan, global brand director at Land Rover said: "Barbour for Land Rover will produce clothing which will draw from both brand's rich heritage and shared understanding of how style and functionality work together to culminate in products which are sophisticated, capable, stylish and reliable."

The clothing range is set to go on sale this August through Barbour and Land Rover stores and dealers around the world as well as online.
