Couture reigns at SAGs

Whilst most customers who wear couture generally avoid the limelight, we do get a glimpse of Haute Couture's beauty at many an award ceremony. The USA's Screen Actors Guild Awards, or SAG's, was the latest event to see the cream of Hollywood dressed in some of the world's finery.

Stand-out gowns include Marion Cotillard's Dior bodice and skirt from the AW13 pre collection, Naomi Watts in a Marchesa crystal-embellished strapless gown and Faberge earrings and Nicole Kidman in a midnight blue Vivienne Westwood gown with floral appliqués and a thigh-high slit.

As Vogue online reported, on the red carpet the event's big fashion story was classic black and white gowns.
