Cupcake escape during LFW

To escape the hectic around London Fashion Week, Food Network UK hosted a fashion, food and art showcase. This week also being the National Cupcake Week, visitors could take a look at the world's most expensive cupcake. In the heart of Covent Garden a guard kept an eye on this more than 700 pounds cupcake. Why so expensive? Mainly because it is wrapped in 24 carat edible gold.

To give the National Cupcake Week a fashionable touch, the Food Network created a dress made entirely of cupcakes. A heavy dress (2 stone) which took 3 days to create. It has a Marie Antoinette inspired design, made up of 300 purple, pink and red cupcakes.

Not only could you look at the cupcakes; you could also get your sugar rush by eating them or get your nails done in a 'cupcakey'-way.
