Debut of the UniPant

Designer Mascha Shumikina has launched the UniPant a hybrid garment that blurs the line between the feminine skirt and the masculine trouser.

The patented design is inspired by the landscapes and poetry of the nomadic culture and aims to unite the essence of eastern conservatism with western freedom.

So what is it? A new and quirky hand-crafted design with a distinct silhouette of relaxed drape-constructed volume and body-conscious elements, the UniPant starts as trousers, runs down and unites to become a skirt. The unique structure and shape of the garment is pronounced through the natural movements of the human body, gently unveiling and continually transforming with each step, evoking a sense of being simultaneously hidden and revealed.

Shumikina states the UniPant collection is an ongoing artistic exploration with development focused on researching fabrics, new cuts and modifications.
