London art charity the London Printworks Trust has enlisted 10 artists and designers to create and donate art work to be hand-printed on limited and numbered edition bank notes. Fashion designers participating include Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, Zandra Rhodes and Heikki Salonen.

The sale of London Printworks Trust’s notes, available in £10s, £20s and £50s is to raise money for the charity’s 20-year-old community-based Brixton textile facility.

Other notes have been designed by Pat Albeck, Will Broome, Sarah Campbell, Hemingway Design, Eley Kishimoto, and Bill Woodrow.

“We are addressing this crisis by literally printing our own money and we have been so excited by the enthusiastic response from eager art collectors. We hope art notes might even become an annual event in the future,” says Lorna Dallas-Conte, LPT Executive Director.
