DKNY, which recently launched a Middle East website and has stores in the region, has unveiled its inaugural Ramadan collection and first ever regionalised campaign starring two popular Middle Eastern fashion bloggers.

The collection coincides with the month-long daily fast observed by Muslims around the world, which started on June 29, a time that sparks a shopping rush dubbed the Ramadan Rush by London retailers as last year it was estimated that sales at high end department stores in the city jumped around 60 percent.

Featuring long, flowing dresses, skirts and jumpsuits, as well as long-sleeved shirts and coats, the 12-piece collection, which was also styled by Middle Eastern fashion personalities Yalda Golsharifi and Tamara al Gabbani, is conservative, while also being summer appropriate with its bold colour palette and flattering silhouettes.

The collection, which also has its own hashtag #dknyramadan, is inspired by “cosmopolitan glam”, according to DKNY’s website, which has been “pulled together with a fresh, festive spirit”. DKNY Ramadan is currently only available in the Middle East.
