Fred Perry x Nigel Cabourn

Sportswear and streetwear brand Fred Perry has announced its upcoming collaboration with industry veteran Nigel Cabourn for Spring/Summer 2015.

The collaborative collection was inspired by both brand's founders love for table tennis. The late Fred Perry was first named World Champion of Table Tennis in 1929, and Nigel Cabourn is a 'self-confessed' fan of the sport.

The collaboration was initially designated to be outerwear capsule collection, but is said to have rapidly developed into a full clothing range, which celebrates both labels heritages.

Pique cotton, which was used for the Fred Perry's shirts in 1952, has been sourced and used across the entire collection that was inspired by styles from the era.

"Fred Perry is a brand that I think runs in some ways parallel to the Nigel Cabourn brand, both truly British brands inspired by British heritage and wherever possible manufacturing everything in the UK,” commented Cabourn.

“I think a lot of Fred Perry and Nigel Cabourn fans alike will be pleased we have finally come together on this collaboration.”
