As a part of the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration, Casio G-Shock has enlisted Fashion East designers SIBLING and Maarten van der Horst to create limited edition watch designs.

The up-and-coming brands, which are part of Lulu Kennedy’s design talent incubator, Fashion East, have collaborated with the watch brand and designed two colourful watches that will be exclusive to G-Shock East.

Maarten van der Horst has created a limited edition version of the Hypercomplex watch, which reflects his spring/summer 2012 collection and features an inky purple and bright candy pink on the face and a floral print strap. Meanwhile, SIBLING which is made up of design trio Sid Bryan, Joe Bates and Cozette McCreery - have covered the DW6900 watch in their signature 'candy leopard' print from the spring/summer 2012 collection.

"The tropical and leopard prints of SIBLING and Maarten van der Horst are perfect for summer, and represent the fun spirit of Fashion East, making them the ideal designers to collaborate with G-Shock. It's fun to be doing this project in the G-Shock store here at the Old Truman Brewery which is Fashion East's founding partner," said Lulu Kennedy, founder of Fashion East.

The limited edition watches will be on sold at G-Shock East in The Old Truman Brewery in London’s East End, priced at £250 each. The collaboration forms one of four events created to celebrate G-Shock’s three decades, celebrating the brand’s interaction in art, sport, fashion and music – with the Fashion East collaboration serving as the fashion-focused event.
