Nominated for the Gold Award at Graduate Fashion Week, fashion student Jaskiran Hare gets inspired by every corner of the globe. From Kingston University in London, homeless Russians inspire her collection.

The nominated collection is based on ‘disjointed, worn-out clothes’. It includes panels that look as though they belong to the suits worn by City businessmen in London or gangsters in Chicago, and draws on ideas from the French art movement, Cubism.

The wool is stonewashed, bleached and hand washed to give them a rough natural feel, and most of the pieces come in blacks, greys and flashes of ivory. With the collection, Hare is looking to secure a position in a design house before setting up her own label in the future.
