Hermès has brought some of its iconic French fashion house’s skilled artisans to London as part of its Festival des Métiers exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery.

The seven-day exhibition showcases 10 different Hermès crafts, with the Hermès artisans working just as they would be in their French workshops, showing visitors how they make the famous Hermès silk scarf printed, as well as its other iconic pieces such as its handbags, ties and watches.

The idea behind the exhibition is to present the fashion house's traditions and values of crafting fine objects, and to encourage visitors to interact with the artisans to understand the craftsmanship that goes into creating some of Hermès iconic items.

The exhibition arrives in London from China, where it has been exhibited in Beijing and Shenyang, and after its short stay in London it will travel to Dusseldorf.

The Festival des Métiers is a free exhibition and runs until May 27.
