Julian J. Smith for River Island

Young designer Julian J. Smith is teaming up with fashion retailer River Island this spring as part of their international project, Design Forum.

The collection fuses around Smith’s bold and colourful graphic prints and consists of 15 items, from tops, trousers, dresses, as well as accessories including shoes and an envelope clutch bag. The vibrant line hits River Island stores and online from April.

To accompany the launch, the pieces were used in a fashion film to launch River Island’s initiative with London Fashion Week, Fash/On Film, where a carefree girl was seen being chased through the real to the surreal by a mysterious character.
