LFW: Bora Aksu SS13

Entitled the ‘Modern Queen’ the Bora Aksu’s spring/summer 2013 collection was inspired by 19th century Queen of Romania, Marie, who was Queen Victoria’s granddaughter, and saw models take to the catwalk in knitted crowns.

The collection featured a range of printed chiffon dresses with three-quarter sleeves in a refreshing colour palette of pale blues, dove greys and delicate whites, and as Marie’s story unfolded on the catwalk vibrant mustards, golds and corals were injected into the collection.

Accessorising the collection was Bora Aksu’s second collection of bags in collaboration with Bracher Emden, featuring laser etched baguette bags and laser cut clutches.
