LFW: Mary Katrantzou AW14

There was a medieval warrier princess lurking in Mary Katrantzou's AW14 collection. Gone were the digital prints we've come to associate with the designer, but instead we saw elaborate symbolism and references to her Greek heritage on column dresses, kilt skirts and metallic trouser suits.

Colours were subdued to complement the intricate embroidery and embellishments, and came in slate grey, bordeaux, forest green and metallics.

Key items included embroidered tunics in rich jewel tones, embellished velvet sweaters and semi pleated column dresses with vertical prints.

Accessories were kept to a minimum, and came in the form of a clutch bag and two-tone ankle boots.
