LFW: Savage Beauty preview

Upcoming exhibition Savage Beauty will celebrate the work of the late designer Lee Alexander McQueen. Coinciding with London Fashion Week, the preview of the exhibition took place at the Ritz Hotel. The actual collection featuring postgraduate pieces from 1992 to his final catwalk show in 2010, will be on display from 4th May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The exhibition is organized by The Costume Institute and made possible by Alexander McQueen™. Silhouettes of the 1860s, 1880s, 1890s, and 1950s crafted into contemporary shapes are on show as well. American Express and Condé Nast are also supporting the exhibition.
