LFW SS15: Holly Fulton

Holly Fulton’s love affair with monochrome continued in her spring/summer 2015 collection inspired by everything from Morris dancers to symbolic depictions of the sun assembled in Walter Herdeg’s book Die Sonne in De Kunst and even canal art.

The designer described the collection as an ode to “sun-worship, folk art and free expression”, while still keeping her graphic signature aesthetic, which was present in this season’s prints made up of tessellating triangles and graphic 3D embellished florals overlayed with crystal and lasercut components.

As well as her signature monochrome, the collection also sees fresh lemon yellow and sandy neutrals set alongside sun-bleached pink and pastel blue hues, which made for a very summery feel on the wearable collection of A-line dresses, crop tops, wide-legged trousers and tailored coats.

The collection also features a collaboration with Woolmark, where the designer has used a Japanese lightweight Nikke cool wool and extra fine merino knitwear, as well as continuation of her sunglasses line with Cutler and Gross.
