British fashion and luxury cashmere brand Brora has collaborating with London Fashion Week designer, Louise Gray on a 10-piece capsule collection for autumn/winter 2011, launching this month.

The collection, anchored in their mutual Scottish heritage features Gray’s avant-garde signature style, and includes updates of winter classics such as the sloppy jumper, wrist-warmers, a cropped cardigan, a snood, patchwork jumper dress and stole. All the pieces feature Gray’s key trademarks of chunky textural yarns, a riot of colour, and bold silhouettes within the collaboration.

“Louise presented an ideal synergy for Brora,” states Brora’s founder and creative director
Victoria Stapleton. “Her love of and attention to detail and innate understanding of how to inject a modern vitality into traditional materials made her an incredibly exciting person for us to work with”.

Gray describes her inspiration for the collection: “I love playing with colour and texture to create really fun pieces and this is what I am bringing to the classic Brora shapes and silhouettes. I worked with traditional Scottish patterns and knits such as cable knits and fisherman jumpers, but then gave them my signature style creating rich blends of colourful cashmere that are very much Brora, but with a Louise Gray twist!”

The Louise Gray for Brora collection is priced £80-£750, and launches exclusively online at www.brora.co.uk and at the brand’s flagship store on Symons Street.
