Alexander McQueen's sister label McQ has teamed up with Japanese artist Yoshiyasu Tamura for its latest collection, McQ Manga.

For Autumn/Winter 2014, the Manga collection for men and women features prints inspired by fictional manga comic books that revisits Japanese youth culture as a continuation of last season’s “Angry Bunny” print.

The manga comic-strip style images appear as patches of prints on jeans, bomber jackets and leather trousers, as well as all-over prints on dresses and T-shirts, and feature on bags and accessories.

“The “Angry Bunny” collection was a big hit with customers and we wanted to carry it through into the new season,” Andy Rogers, brand director at McQ told WWD. “The McQ design team were inspired by Japan, everything from its artwork to its music scene and even its biker gangs, so we approached [Tamura] to ask him to create a manga design for us featuring the bunny.”

Prices for the men’s and women’s collections start at 155 pounds for a T-shirt to 1,350 pounds for a leather biker jacket. The men’s collection launched early this month with the women’s collection following in August.
