Met Ball gala in pictures

The Met Ball organised by Anna Wintour drew a host of fashion celebrities to celebrate the work of McQueen. The gala is America's biggest night on the fashion calendar, and with the late, great fashion designer Alexander McQueen as a theme for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, red carpet expectations were very high.
