Prada appeared to go back to the 70s with its AW14 menswear show, although Muccia Prada's references came from German theatre, as was evident in the interior designed show space and accompanying orchestral music.

The collection featured generously cut trousers and shirt colours in with subdued brown tones, ice blue and burgundies. Neck ties accessorised contrast collar shirts and tailored jackets, finished with chunky soled shoes.

Perhaps the most theatrical item was the gilet, which came quilted and in fur with a frontal breast pocket. If we judge a show by the looks and items we wish to covet next season, this was not the most dynamic collection from this fashion house.
