Luxury Italian outer-wear brand Moncler has unveiled it first women's wear collection, known as Moncler Gamme Bleu A/W 14-15. The women's wear line was designed by American designer Thom Browne and presented during Milan's Fashion Week.

The show was held at the hall of a clubhouse and featured both the presentation of the women's wear collection simultaneously with the men's wear collection. Both lines were inspired by the sporting world of golf and featured oversized argyle prints, vintage styled trousers and long bermuda shorts.

“I have always been intrigued with the idea of drawing a woman’s wear collection for Moncler,” said Browne in an interview with Italian news source Pambianco TV. The possibility for future presentations of both men's wear and women's wear is big, stated Remo Ruffini, president of the group, who was fond of the idea of the dual show.

According Ruffini, the launch of the new women's wear line represents a new challenge for the company, who made its debut on the Milan Stock Exchange market last December with record results, namely the development of more technical clothing and the chance to become a full-fledged designer label.
