Oz at LFW

London Fashion Week celebrated the fashion from up-coming film, Oz The Great and Powerful, with a showcase featuring costumes worn by the movie’s stars Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams.

Held within the British Fashion Council’s show space at Somerset House, the event included the first UK look at Deniz Berdan’s dresses, Michel Negrin’s accessories and a look at William Tempest’s red carpet dress, which he has designed exclusively for the European Premiere of the film.

Commenting on his participation, Tempest said: "I am a huge Disney fan so I'm really excited to be collaborating with them on the launch of new movie Oz the Great and Powerful. The land of Oz is full of colour, fun, and fantasy, a perfect place for me to draw my inspirations from. I can't wait to see my design come to life on the yellow carpet at the premiere!"

In addition to the costume display, Nicholas Kirkwood also revealed the sketches for his four-piece shoe collection that he has created inspired by the film, which launch next month. The collection will be available exclusively for Selfridges and the shoes and movie will be celebrated with a dedicated shoe carnival window, and an actual yellow brick road will be feature in the store.
