Sustainable and Fairtrade fashion brand People Tree has launched an exclusive new Atelier collection for Spring/Summer 2014 designed by its head of design Tracy Mulligan.
Consisting of nine exclusive pieces, the range features a selection of contemporary silhouettes, designed for the “modern woman who wants a timeless, elegant look”, while still being 100 percent fairtrade.
Featuring trend-led pieces the Atelier line uses the finest hand-woven cotton, organic cotton and hand-woven silk in designs ranging from delicately embroidered shirts to the statement evening dresses, offering People Tree shoppers more sophisticated pieces.
Highlights include a sharp summer suit featuring a boxy, cropped jacket, teamed with a bound, asymmetric curved hem skirt, both including in the collection as a nod to this spring’s sports luxe trend. In addition, there is a beaded shift dress in a hand-woven monochrome cotton jacquard fabric, which features this season’s key trend of box sleeves and includes hand-sewn crystal glas beads along the neckline.
Prices for the collection range from 55 pounds for a silk beaded belt to 260 pounds for an embroidered dress.
