PFW: A.F. Vandevorst AW11

For AW11, designer brand A.F. Vandevorst teamed up with Dutch artists Maarten Kolk and Guus Kusters, who combine the worlds of nature and textile. The new collection materializes the beauty, shape and language of form seen in animals. The artists mold on the animal itself, allowing only the claws of the feet to remain seen. Materials used include fur, felt, and paper.

Debuted in 1997, An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx met each other at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp a decade earlier. The fashion label is available at selected high end stores in Paris, New York, London, Tokyo and Moscow.
