Warehouse and the British Fashion Council’s Colleges Council has launched its latest emerging designer collection with University of Westminster graduate, Philli Wood.

This is the fifth year of Warehouse’s search for new fashion design talent and Wood was chosen as the winner by a panel of judges which included the retailer’s design director Lisa Byrne and head of buying Emily Griffiths, as well as Elle magazine’s fashion director Anne-Marie Cutris and previous competition winner Daisy Craver, who is now a designer for Burberry.

As winner, Wood joined Warehouse for a six-month placement where she followed the full journey of her collection from the initial design process, through production, to the campaign creation and PR launch.

The capsule line is a re-imagining of her graduate collection, featuring 12-pieces inspired by the Native American Inuits, and includes sports-inflected clothing and accessories that are printed with images of cable knits in varying scales to give the illusion of knitwear.

Highlights of the collection includes the neon pink techno parka, the abstract knit print jogger pants, and the giant cable knit rucksack. Prices for the collection range from 26 pounds for a scarf to 140 pounds for the parka coat.
