Prada SS11 dominates covers

Fashion insiders have long known that where Miuccia Prada goes others follow. But S/S 11 fashion insiders seem to have taken it to quite an extent. For multiple global spring magazine editions all seem to have Prada gracing their covers.

It has happened before – with an appliquéd dress from Miu Miu last fall ‘10 – but now the colourful fruity stripes from S/S 11 Prada can be seen on at least 48 covers.

Some of the best picks include Amanda Seyfried on the cover of both US Elle and UK Marie Claire. Gisele on the cover of Vogue China – which is pretty similar to the cover of Vogue Australia. Abby Cornish on the cover of Australian Harpers Bazaar and also cover stories from Avenue and Numero.

And if fashion land needed any verification, Anna Wintour herself, wears Prada on the front of the WSJ magazine.

One Prada staff member said it had been exhausting trying to keep track of the send outs.

It’s a clear S/S 11 victory but you have to hand to Dolce and Gabbana who are coming in second at 41.
