Following in the footsteps of artist Pharrell Williams and designer Mary Katrantzou, British singer Rita Ora has announced her upcoming collaborative clothing line with German sportswear label Adidas. Ora, who recently was named as the new face for Roberto Cavalli upcoming campaign, has been busy working on her sportswear collaborative collection. For the past few weeks the singer has been spotted wearing a number of Adidas's clothing items, ranging from jackets and beanies to hoodies and sneakers.

“I’m a massive fan of the brand. I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneaker head,” revealed the artist to WWD. “It’s so cool that I'm able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”

The collection is set to launch as five separate capsule lines on three different days. On 21 August the 'Black' line will be the first collection to launch globally, then on 4 September the 'Pastel' and 'Colorblock Pack' lines will be rolled out followed by the 'Spray' and 'Roses' lines on 1 November.

The 'Black' line, which was inspired by Ora's London is set to go for sale at selected Adidas Originals stores as well as online. Pieces for the collections include apparel, outerwear, accessories as well as footwear and will range from 30 dollars for a beanie to 500 dollars for a leather jacket.

The singer was first approached by the German label last September during New York Fashion Week and later went to visit Adidas's headquarters in Herzogenaurach, where she explored the label's archive. Then she began meeting with their design team every two weeks, which ended in the final collection based on her tastes.

The collaboration between Ora and Adidas will continue for three seasons until fall 2015.
