Luxury  footwear and accessories label Jimmy Choo has unveiled its capsule collection created in collaboration with contemporary artist Rob Pruitt as part of its Cruise 2013 collection. The range consists of 19 styles of shoes, bags and accessories executed in unique materials developed exclusively for the collaboration by the brand. The shoes and bags feature dégradé leather linings patterned with repeating angel and devil pandas, with the soles of shoes finished with a wash of dégradé colours creating an eye catching flash of colour with each step.

The shoes include a range of playful options of jelly sandals and glitter zebra ballet pumps to the more glamorous boudoir mule with marabou pom pom, and glitter zebra sandals. Rob Pruitt has also reimagined Jimmy Choo’s iconic style the Anouk pump featuring vibrant orange, pink, and yellow hues of mirrored leather overlaid with French lace.

The capsule line also features a range of small leather goods such as wallets and key chains feature panda charms and patent dégradé with leopard print, as well as a silk twill scarf brightly coloured with dégradé and overlaid with lace print.

The highly collectible collection also includes a limited edition pair of angel and devil panda minaudières, each featuring more than 11,000 hand-applied crystals. Each set, one of a limited edition of 12, will be numbered and signed by the artist.

Commenting on the collaboration, Jimmy Choo Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway said: “We are really excited by the collection as it reflects everything that captivated us about collaborating with Rob Pruitt: his energy, use of colour and the festive exuberance of his prints and materials. There were elements in his work that reminded us in subtle ways of the Jimmy Choo design iconography. The collaboration has yielded collectable pieces that are highly original, integrating both Rob’s sarcastic wit and Jimmy Choo’s iconic glamour.”

Finishing off the collaboration, which rolls out across Jimmy Choo stores and online from November, the label has created special packing featuring bright pink boxes with dégradé lining, sealed with an angel or devil panda sticker.
