The collection takes a lot of inspiration from the 20s era, which Rosie described at the press presentation as an “era of opulent elegance”, and most of the designs feature intricate Art Deco-inspired fan style embroidery. The material and fabrics was given a lot of attention, as the collection has been created using the finest lace designed by top French lace houses combined with Swiss-designed couture embroidery, and the silks, have been developed to be machine washable.
Prices start at £12.50 for knickers, through to £22.50 for bras and £65 for the silk kimono. Aware that the average British woman isn’t a supermodel, the collection bra sizes range from 30-40, with cup sizes from A to E with selected styles available up to G, and the knickers range from size 8 to 20.
Talking at the presentation, Rosie said: "It was really important for me to design this range for all women, in all shapes and sizes. We've worked really hard to make the designs accessible, and to make them work in a range of sizes."
Soozie Jenkinson, Head of Design for Lingerie at M&S, added: "We wanted to create something luxurious but affordable."
“It has been a great experience working together with Rosie. She is as passionate about beautiful lingerie as we are. We have combined Rosie’s ideas with our extensive expertise in lingerie design and development to create a truly luxurious collection.”
The collection will be available in 229 stores in the UK, as well as in a host of countries around the world including Russia, China, Hong Kong, India, Poland, Singapore, Southern Spain, Turkey and the UAE.
