Leading fashion designers based in America have grouped together to form the collective, Runway to Win, to show their support for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
The e-commerce site launches February 7 and features pieces including a ‘I Vote Obama’ t-shirt designed by Marc Jacobs, a Rachel Roy vest inscribed with the phrase ‘People who believe that change is possible are the ones who make it happen’, and a ‘Yes We Can’ t-shirt designed by Beyonce and her mum Tina Knowles.
There are also a number of totes designed by Tory Burch, Derek Lam, Diana von Furstenberg, and Rag & Bone; as well as a printed scarf by Thakoon; and an art pin designed by Eddie Borgo.
The t-shirts, totes, scarves and wristlets are all available for pre-order, with prices starting at $45, and all proceeds go directly to the Obama Victory Fund.
Other designers participating are: Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Narciso Rodriguez, Joseph Altuzarra, Jack Mccollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa, Prabal Gurung, and jeweller Monique Péan.
