SJP unveils shoe line

Sarah Jessica Parker, best known for her role in Sex and the City, has revealed her first footwear collection, named SJP. The collection incorporates a number of styles such as the classic stiletto, peep-toe heels, wedges and suede sandals in an array of bright colors.

"I've taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe, to references to classic styles from the late seventies and early eighties," explained Sarah Jessica Parker of her inspiration for the line.

To help develop her SJP label, the actress partnered with Manolo Blahnik USA's CEO and COO George Malkemus, where she also took inspiration from "great old-school labels like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon" for her fashion label, which will include a selection of bags and a classic trenchcoat in its collection.

In honor of her role on Sex and the City, Parker has dubbed the versatile trench coat 'Manhattan' and one classic heel 'Carrie', after her beloved character on the show.

Her debut line is set to launch exclusively at US department store Nordstrom and online on February 28, with prices starting at 195 dollars.
