Solar powered swimsuit

Solar energy is taking beachwear to its next level. New York University graduate Andrew Schneider launched the Solar Bikini to charge iPods, iPhones and other gadgets with a USB outlet.

The bikini is covered with thin photovoltaic panels sewn into the fabric. The design has an armour look, and Schneider is currently creating a male interpretation. The bikini is available for $200 and waterproof, but before plugging any gadgets make sure you are dry.
