TV personality, Kelly Osbourne, has announced the upcoming launch of her first contemporary fashion line, Stories...by Kelly Osbourne.
The collection, which will consists of 13 head to toe looks, is set to launch on the home shopping network on September 25 and coincides with the launch of a new website, where fans are invited to upload pictures of themselves in her new designs and share stories of where they wore the outfits too.
“I believe that every time you wear something, you have a story of where you wore it, whether it be good or bad,” said Osbourne to WWD. Osbourne turned to her British roots for inspired for the debut collection, which features the English rose and Union Jack on key items. She also has incorporate stretch into many of the fitted garments, to ensure the best fit.
“Because I have been everything from a size 0 to pretty much almost a 16, it made me realize all the tricks I had learned to cover up certain areas or to detract from certain areas, and what I like in clothing.”
Osbourne will be working closely alongside Jupi Corporation, her production partner, the same manufacturing company behind the Kardashian Kollection, to ensure her collection remains under her artistic control and offers sizes 0 to 24.
“It’s not cost-effective from a manufacturer’s point of view, but it was very important for Kelly to have every shape and size,” added Bruno Schiavi, Jupi’s founder and chairman. After the collection launch on HSN, Osbourne is set to launch her line on Bluefly.com, which offers shipping to international countries, including the UK.
Prices for her first collection, dubbed 'Chapter One' are set to range between 55 and 170 dollars, with plans to launch handbag and footwear lines next summer.
