Tom Ford Visionaries

"When I left Gucci, I hit a terrible low." This is one of the many revelations that Tom Ford shares in his documentary, The Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind, which is set to broadcast on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN channel over the weekend.

Director Michael Bonfiglio, who had full access to Ford, documents the designers return to womenswear in September 2010 through to this past February where he opened his Los Angeles store.

The notoriously private designer also gave the documentary access to his studio in London, gave his opinions on the world around him, and explained why he based himself in the UK. “It's amazing, England seems to turn out great designers,” he said.

Tom Ford’s episode of Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind airs October 23 at 8 pm EST, on OWN; no word on whether the episode will be shown in the UK.
