Centrally located in Covent Garden, Camper took up a residence on the corner of Shelton and Neal Street. Emerging Spanish designer Tomás Alonso designed the store space according to ‘slow design’ principles, and by using simple gestures. With a feel for natural flair, Alonso created the tubes, wood and colour of the new Camper Together store. The tiles on the wall have an illusory 3-dimensional effect and give the shop a modern atmosphere.

On the collaboration the London based designer Alonso commented: “All of the furniture was designed and built specifically for the shop as part of a personal project I’ve been working on for some time now, which is based on the formal and structural language that two materials as dissimilar as lacquer tubing and natural wood – in this case, white oak – can create together.”

Camper Together integrates different creative expressions and cultures into one project, London currently features five Camper Together shops. Last June, Alonso created the Genoa store according the same design ideas.
