British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood is celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a new capsule collection that will launch in May. Inspired by gowns the royal has previously worn, the Red Carpet Capsule Collection consists of 10 dresses created from taffeta, silk satin, crepe de chine, and georgette that have been styled to capture the luxurious and regal nature of the royal.

The designer, who was made Dame in the Queen's 2006 New Year's Honours List, has long been inspired by Britannia, and frequently uses the Union Jack and crown motifs in her designs, and in this collection she also pays homage to the iconic British flag, which has been reinterpreted using a bronze, gold, and silver colour palette.

Highlights from the collection include Grecian-inspired draped cocktail dresses, floor-length corseted gowns made using silk satins, as well as four pairs of delicate jewelled earrings.
