Adidas UK reports 6 percent turnover growth in 2025
German sportswear brand Adidas’ British entity, UK-based Adidas (U.K.) Limited (Adidas U.K.), recorded turnover growth of 6 percent for the financial year ending December 31, 2025.
Annual sales rose from 1.28 billion pounds in 2024 to 1.36 billion pounds (1.82 bilion dollars) in 2025. Growth was supported across all core distribution channels.
Wholesale revenue, the company's largest contributor, increased by 29.66 million pounds to 937.41 million pounds. The direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels experienced strong performance: e-commerce sales expanded by 33.53 million pounds to 276.57 million pounds, while retail store sales went up by 18.25 million pounds to 150.56 million pounds.
Higher cost of sales pressures net profit
Despite top-line expansion, profit before tax fell 19 percent to 37.23 million pounds, down from 45.86 million pounds in the previous year. The company attributed the negative result to a higher cost of sales figure, which grew to 1.10 billion pounds compared to 1.01 billion pounds in 2024. Consequently, gross profit margin contracted from 21 percent to 19 percent, and operating profit margin decreased from 4 percent to 3 percent.
Net profit for the financial period decreased to 27.58 million pounds compared to 33.46 million pounds in 2024.
Management noted that brand growth during 2025 was spurred by partnership agreements with football clubs, creative collaborations across culture, and demand within the lifestyle and performance product categories.
