Italian-made accessories label Aevha London has secured 150,000 pounds in investment through crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to support its expansion and to “cement” its position as a leading luxury handbag brand.
Founded by designer Alice Horlick in September 2013, the brand received the funds from 79 investors in just 39 days, making it a record-breaking first round of funding for the accessories label, which already counts a celebrity following including fashionista Olivia Palermo and Edie Campbell.
Aevha London offered a 10 percent stake in the business under the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme, and aims to utilise the funds to increase its stock production to meet demand, further expand its rapidly growing project portfolio, as well as support its plans to become a leading luxury handbag label.
Founder and creative director, Alice Horlick said: “Our first year has been incredible and the support from investors, media, celebrities and retailers, not just in the UK, but from around the world has been overwhelmingly positive. This pivotal moment in the growth of Aevha London is very exciting, as it paves the way for the brand’s future.”
Aevha London is currently showcasing its new collection of Italian artisan-made handbags and accessories at London Fashion Week in the official BFC space in Somerset House. The handbag label is available to purchase online at the Graziashop, Then And Now, www.aevhalondon.com and in-store at The Clerkenwell Collection.
