London - A number of private equity groups are said to have shown interested in buying high street fashion brands Coast, Warehouse and Oasis - including Alteri Investors.
A potential sale of the three fashion brands, also known as the Aurora Fashion Group, comes not long after news emerged the group had appointed PwC to conduct “strategic review” of the business, which may include a sale that sees the fashion labels valued at 100 million pounds.
The fashion brand stores, which are currently under the stewardship of administrators as its former owner Baugur and its bank Kaupthing collapsed during the financial crisis of 2009, are said to have received special interest from turnaround specialist Alteri Investors, according to numerous sources.
One source revealed to ThisisMoney that Oasis, Coast and Warehouse are likely to be sold as a group, as the fashion brands share a number of head office functions, making a separate sale more difficult. Administrators are likely to retain control of Karen Millen, although the UK fashion brand could also be put up for sale are early as next year.
