APC invests in Outdoor Voices

French ready-to-wear brand APC has invested in fashionable activewear and lifestyle brand Outdoor Voices. The investment was made during the New York-based company’s latest funding round, in which they managed to secure 7 million dollars to continue pushing forward with its recreational technical apparel.

Alongside the investment, APC will also work on a collaborative collection with Outdoor Voices, which is set to launch in stores next year.

"I knew that I loved OV when I saw their fabric selection. They are so material focused that I immediately thought they were just like us," Jean Touitou, APC's founder and creative director told Vogue UK. “It's a good time to mix real sportswear with real fashion, so the opportunity to invest was too good to miss."

Outdoor Voices founder Tyler Haney added: "Jean Touitou and his team have built APC into an iconic brand-one that is meaningful and authentic. We’re excited to work with them as strategic partners as we continue to grow Outdoor Voices."

This marks the latest round of funding for the New York-based activewear brand, earlier this year it wrapped up a smaller 1.1 million dollar round to help lay the groundwork to building a bricks-and-mortar retail presence. It currently has one store in Austin, Texas, but a pop-up in New York is set to follow.

Outdoor Voices was founded in 2013 by Haney as a way of integrating her passion for casual fitness with her design aspirations. OV features technical apparel for recreation for both men and women including hoodies, leggings, shorts, sports bras, and vests.
