London - If you ever wanted to work for a leading online fashion retailer in London then this could be your chance, as Asos is set to create an additional 1,500 new roles over the next three years. The online fashion retailer is seeking a wide range of disciplines to fill its new positions at its headquarters in Camden, including technology, technology, marketing, content and retail.
Asos to fill 1,500 new positions at Greater London House over the nest 3 years
Asos first opened its global headquarters in Greater London House in Camden 10 years ago with 120 members of staff. However, in order to house these additional employees, as Asos currently employs 2,500 workers at its headquarters, the fashion retailer is set to rent an additional 40,000 square feet in the building, expanding its total working space at Greater London House to close to a quarter of a million square feet. The online fashion retailer has invested 40 million pounds in renovating its entire headquarters to create a “cutting edge, tech lead” working space for the future.
The online fashion retailer hired architects Spacelab to design the new working space, which reflects their ‘work anywhere’ ethos, and include the latest technology solutions to allow employees the freedom to work anywhere, using any device. This includes bespoke mobile first technology and specialist software to map peoples location and product flow to facilitate increased cross-functional interaction. An additional 500,000 pounds is expected to be generated in business rates following Asos expansion.
“Our people are what make Asos special. We are creating a workspace that fosters creativity, where they can enjoy what they do” said Nick Beighton, Asos in a statement. “Greater London House is such an important part of the company’s history, as well as Camden’s, so I’m thrilled that we get to stay in our home, while building a workplace for the future.”

Asos renovation plans for Greater London House include new staircases and light wells, which keep in mind the building’s iconic design features, such as its black Egyptian cats. New additions to Asos headquarters also include new workout facilities, an Asos training academy, a quiet zone library, numerous cafes and eating areas as well as an auditorium and a new tech bar and concierge service that will help employees with all their non-work related issues.
“Asos is a global, tech driven phenomenon. Asos customers are 20-somethings and so are most of its employees. Asos gets that a smart, young workforce needs a workspace that celebrates their needs and their talents,” said Nathan Lonsdale, Partner from Spacelab. “Flexibility and mobility are incredibly important when maximising collaboration in a dynamic working environment like at Asos. The space will reflect the personality of the company and its bold ambitions for the future.”
The newly refurbished area aims to be welcoming to all Asos employees and guests with disabilities and will offer complete accessibility for wheelchair users, meeting room facilities for hearing impaired employees and braille signage throughout. The investment in its headquarters in London follows on from Asos ongoing investment in its Barnsley warehouse, where 4,000 people work as the retailer aims to invest an additional 23 million this year.
