Danish fashion company, DK Company, has expanded its current portfolio with the recent acquisition of three women's wear labels from Ball Group for the sum of 60 million Danish krone. (8.78 millions US dollars, 5.8 million pounds)

The deal, which saw brands Culture, Pulz and Educe take over, is said to help strengthen DK Company position in the mid-market segment, as the brands hold "significant volume." In addition, the three brands are said to be a natural fit for the fashion group's current retail holdings, which includes the likes of InWear, Matinique and Blend.

Current Chief Executive Officer Jens Poulsen noted that the acquisitions of the labels was a "natural extension" of DK Company's ongoing "positive development" and will in turn help the company create a stronger platform for future growth.

"DK Company has great respect for the positive development of the three brands and looks forward to introducing them to its retail concepts, e-commerce platforms and to launching them on the group's wholesale markets in Central and Southern Europe."

The company predicts its annual turnover to increase to 250 million Danish krone, thanks to the recent acquisitions.
