New York-based fashion brand DKNY has entered into a new partnership with the New York Yankees.
Through this multifaceted and long-term partnership, DKNY is set to have a presence in Yankee Stadium once again, with a huge billboard on the right featuring the brand’s new logo. The move comes 14 years after DKNY made history as the first fashion brand to advertise on a large scale in Yankee Stadium.
This is not the first time DKNY has partnered with the New York Yankees, as the two parties have collaborated multiple times in the past. Parent company G-III Apparel Group also has a longstanding history of signing several holding licensing agreements with MLB, the NHL, and the NFL.
"This unique partnership is part of DKNY's overall brand strategy to increase visibility across multiple media channels to a loyal and passionate audience," said Jeff Goldfarb, EVP at G-III Apparel Group, in a statement.
"DKNY has had a longstanding relationship with the New York Yankees, and having our presence back at Yankee Stadium in such a prominent location demonstrates the connection our brand has with the Yankees' iconic franchise and legacy."
"We are extremely excited to partner with DKNY this season," said Michael Tusiani, New York Yankees Senior Vice President of Partnerships. "DKNY is an iconic New York company, and having its logo prominently displayed in the outfield will provide its brand great exposure at Yankee Stadium throughout the year."
The new DKNY billboard at Yankee Stadium will be visible beginning on Opening Day, this Friday, April 5.
