DTC and wearables propel EssilorLuxottica to 7.49 billion euros in Q3

French-Italian eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica announced that consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2026 reached 7.49 billion euros (8.40 billion dollars). This represents a year-over-year increase of 7.2 percent at constant exchange rates compared to the third quarter of 2025, or 9 percent at current exchange rates.

For the first nine months of the year, consolidated revenue expanded 8.9 percent at constant exchange rates to 22.3 billion euros. Broad-based expansion across retail channels and geographic regions, combined with ongoing momentum in wearables and myopia management, supported quarterly top-line expansion.

Direct-to-consumer division leads quarterly expansion

The direct-to-consumer (D2C) division served as the primary performance driver, posting third-quarter revenue of 4.09 billion euros. The segment grew 10.6 percent at constant exchange rates, supported by high-single-digit comparable-store sales growth and the contribution of newly consolidated eye-clinic operations. Brick-and-mortar optical and sun retail banners both generated positive results, while e-commerce performance was slightly positive, representing 7 percent of total company revenue.

Professional Solutions recorded revenue of 3.39 billion euros, up 3.4 percent at constant exchange rates. Growth in the wholesale division was led by double-digit expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, alongside gains in myopia management lens solutions and traditional frame lines, including Ray-Ban and Oakley. Luxury licensed frame portfolios also improved, with Chanel, Miu Miu, and Prada showing positive momentum.

Regional performance shows broad-based momentum

Asia-Pacific recorded the strongest regional growth rate during the third quarter, with revenue increasing 15.7 percent at constant exchange rates to 979 million euros. Broad-based expansion in Greater China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Australia generated double-digit gains across both divisions. Results in the region were further bolstered by optical retail consolidation following the integration of Top Charoen in Thailand.

  • North America: Revenue reached 3.2 billion euros, up 4.7 percent at constant exchange rates, supported by high-single-digit growth in D2C banners LensCrafters, Target Optical, and Sunglass Hut.
  • EMEA: Revenue rose 7.5 percent at constant exchange rates to 2.89 billion euros, driven by double-digit D2C growth and strong optical retail performance in Italy, Spain, and Turkey.
  • Latin America: Revenue grew 7.1 percent at constant exchange rates to 415 million euros, led by high-single-digit comparable-store sales gains across Mexico, Brazil, and Peru.

Wearables and myopia management drive product category gains

By product category, the core Eyecare & Medtech segment recorded revenue of 7.00 billion euros in the third quarter, representing a 6.5 percent increase at constant exchange rates. Within the category, the myopia management portfolio expanded 24% at constant exchange rates during the quarter.

The Wearables division, which includes artificial intelligence glasses and Nuance Audio products, posted revenue of 486 million euros for the third quarter, up 20 percent at constant exchange rates. Over the first nine months of 2026, the wearables category generated 1.26 billion euros in total sales.

“Quarter after quarter, our Company continues to demonstrate the strength of its unique model,” said Francesco Milleri, chairman and chief executive officer, and Paul du Saillant, deputy CEO at EssilorLuxottica, in a joint statement. “In the third quarter, we delivered 9% revenue growth, with all regions contributing and Asia-Pacific standing out with double-digit growth.”
