Macintosh Retail Group has officially been declared bankrupt, following a request from its court administrators John Huppertz and Ben Meijs, who have been appointed as trustees.

The former owner of Brantano UK and Jones Bootmaker announced its bankruptcy in a statement and stressed that no other companies of the group are subject to the bankruptcy, adding that the suspension of payment for subsidiaries Dolcis B.V, Invito B.V, Hoogenbosch Retail Group B.V, Manfield B.V and PRO Sport B.V remains in effect.

Together, the trustees and financing banks continue to explore all possible scenarios for Macintosch to see if a potential sale of part or whole of the company is still manageable and beneficial to all those involved.
