Matalan Q2 sales up 3.9 percent

Matalan full price sales for the 13 weeks ended August 27, 2016 increased 3.9 percent. Total revenue was 245.5 million pounds (301.8 million dollars) against 261.7 million pound (321.7 million dollars). EBITDA was 15.4million pounds (18.9 million dollars) against 2.3 million pounds (2.8 million dollars).

Commenting on the second quarter’s performance Jason Hargreaves, Managing Director of Matalan, said, “We have made solid progress over the last quarter. The recent launch of “The Show” sees an exciting and innovative new way for us to advise and inspire through what we expect to be a challenging autumn/winter season. We remain measured and cautious in our outlook, focused on continuing to progress our proposition.”
