ME+EM, a British fashion label which counts the Duchess of Cambridge as a loyal fan, has received an undisclosed investment from a consortium of backers including the Carphone Warehouse founder.

As reported by the ‘Telegraph’ over the weekend, Sir Charles Dunstone and two venture capital firms have provided financial backing to the fashion retailer behind Kate Middleton’s sought-after Breton striped t-shirt.

ME+EM has received an undisclosed investment from a consortium of backers including the Carphone Warehouse founder, Pembroke Venture Capital Trust, Oakley Capital, and angel investor Venrex Fund.

As further explained by the company, the new injection of cash will help support the fashion label’s expansion plans.

The retailer’s five minutes of fame came after the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed on two different occasions in the designer’s Breton striped shirts.
