Menswear brand Untuckit acquired by Randa

American apparel and accessories supplier Randa Apparel & Accessories (Randa) has acquired the operations and brand of US-based menswear company Untuckit. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2010, New York-based Untuckit built its business around casual and dress shirts designed specifically to be worn untucked. The digitally native direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand has since expanded its retail footprint to include an e-commerce platform and more than 70 brick and mortar stores globally.

The transaction combines the D2C reach of Untuckit with the financial resources, sourcing networks and global distribution scale of Randa. The acquisition aligns with the growth strategy of Randa to invest in market-leading consumer brands and expand its direct connection to retail customers.

"We spent 15 years proving that a shirt built to be worn untucked could become a brand people trust," said Chris Riccobono, founder of Untuckit. "Randa brings something different: more than a century of relationships with the world's leading retailers and suppliers, along with the global capabilities to help UNTUCKit reach its next stage."

Following the acquisition, the brand will maintain its headquarters in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City, where its existing executive team will continue to lead daily operations.

"UNTUCKit did the hard thing: it built a direct relationship with the consumer, store by store and click by click," said Justin Spiegel, president of Randa. "Randa will add capital, global sourcing and market-leading retail relationships to that foundation. Together, we will accelerate the brand's growth and introduce it to many more consumers."

Established in 1910, Randa operates as a privately held brand owner and licensee, managing portfolio brands such as Haggar, Totes, Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein across department store, specialty and mass distribution channels worldwide.
