Moss Bros sales increase 6.1 percent to 145.9 million pounds
Moss Bros Group Limited, the men's formal wear and smart casual retailer, reported a strong financial performance for the 52-week period ended 25 January 2025, driven by a focus on high service levels and product diversification.
Total sales for the period increased by 6.1 percent to 145.9 million pounds. This strong trading performance led to a 21.6 percent increase in EBITDA to 30.5 million pounds, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 20.9 percent. The profit for the period, after taxation, rose to 20.6 million pounds.
The company, which is rebranded to Moss, continued to invest heavily in its physical estate, opening six new stores and refurbishing eight, while maintaining a strong online presence and tightly controlling stock and promotional discounting.
Looking forward, the directors anticipate the strong trading performance to continue into the next financial year, noting the company is highly cash generative and debt-free, and operating on a going concern basis due to its adequate resources and positive forecasts.
